As an immigrant from Ireland, Trevor Plunkett was drawn to real estate for many of the same reasons he was drawn to the U.S. – the “American Dream” of self-reliance and the opportunity to build your own business, own your own home and make your own future. He began by working in the construction industry, later creating his own home improvement company, and then became a licensed real estate agent in 2001. Trevor has lived in Manhattan Beach for years and enjoys the beach lifestyle, walking on The Strand, playing golf and tennis and sharing time outdoors at the beach with friends. He also values traveling the world especially to visit family members that live in Ireland, Argentina, Spain, and across the U.S.
Trevor was actually born in Lima, Peru and lived his childhood in Spanish speaking countries throughout South America and then in Spain before moving to his father’s home country of Ireland. He attended middle school, high school and college in Dublin where he first learned to speak English. From Ireland, Trevor came to Southern California on an invitation from his aunt. Once he found the South Bay, he knew he had found his new home. Surprisingly, the fact that he spoke fluent Spanish became very useful for him in Los Angeles.
Trevor’s construction and home improvement industry experience are key in assessing inspection reports and property condition for his clients. He also draws on his personal experience in buying and selling several homes here in the South Bay. Most importantly, Trevor exemplifies good character. His loyalty, honesty and hard work, are highly valued by his clients.
As a survivor of Leukemia, thanks to a successful stem cell transplant in 1998 made possible by his donor-sister, Sandra, Trevor supports the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as well as The Wounded Warrior Project.
